The name FATMOD is an abbreviation of : -

F - Faithful
A - Available
T - Teachable
M - Men
O - Of
D - Destiny

The name is meant to give a true representation of the objectives and vision of the group and also to depict the character and driving force of the members. The name and objectives of our group are founded in Christian Faith and the Bible as its ultimate guide and authority. The group's Biblical model in life, faith and calling is Abraham because:-

* He was Faithful to God in his walk with Him. (God called him his friend)
* He was Available whenever God needed him.
* He had a Teachable spirit that’s clearly reflected in His dealings with God and with men.
* He was a Man that earned respect with God and with men.
* He was Destined to bring the presence of God to all people and even fulfill God’s promise to His people.

FOUNDERS/MEMBERS

FATMOD is constituted of four zealous young men drawn from different ethical and professional backgrounds but all united in Christian Faith. These are :- ( not necessarily in order of seniority).

REASONS FOR FORMATION OF FATMOD

FATMOD has its roots in the Kenya Assemblies of God Buru Buru and Parklands Christian Center Churches  respectively. (In Nairobi Kenya)

The founders were initially involved in outreach ministries to schools and colleges under the churches through drama and ministry of the Word of God.

Through the activities stated in (2) above, the group revealed that most of negative behavioral aspects among the youth have their foundation in explicit secular music emulating participants lifestyles.

The choice of Contemporary Christian Music therefore was aimed to bridge the gap between explicit secular music that is popular with the youth and traditional Christian hymns that do not appeal to them. FATMOD therefore provides the alternative music that is appealing to youth of all walks of life. 

OBJECTIVES

To reach out to young and old people alike with the gospel and salvation of Jesus Christ throughout Nairobi, Kenya and the world by means of contemporary Christian music. 

To identify, develop and promote all manner of talent and potential among the youth in Africa. 

To affect and influence the society with positivism and morality.

Scope - All major cities and towns  in Kenya, Africa and the whole wide world.

STRATEGIES

Plan and organize outreaches through music concerts. 

Plan and organize indoor seminars. 

 Perform in public gatherings on invitation. 

Produce and release music albums and videos. 

Teach and preach the word of God.

ACHIEVEMENTS

Recorded and released our first album titled THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO FATMOD (G.A.F) 

These songs (especially our hit song “SONGA KANDO” have become a household name in the gospel music industry in Kenya. They are also very popular in the local radio stations and thus have received proper airplay. 

Participated in a number of National events thereby gaining more exposure and opportunity. 

Managed to shoot a video  for our hit song “Songa Kando” which did very well here in Kenya and over seas i.e. Australia, Uganda, Tanzania e.t.c 

Also recently, we have managed to release a second video for the track HALLE where we have featured Daddy Owen. 

Managed also to do our own sound tracks and we also use our skill and ability to create sound   tracks for upcoming and established artists. 

VISION/LONG-TERM PLANS

Our ultimate goal and desire is to establish and maintain our own: PRODUCTION COMPANY and RECORD LABEL”. Alongside that we would also like to operate our very own clothing label.
